This level of stupidity…

I mean… what the hell?

Creating the blog shennysucks solely to hate on something? I mean ok, you can hate it as much as you want, but hate someone for liking it? Hell, I see actual people discussing there, like, do you think that will make you look better? Hell, it means you care too much, and I’m sure bazingasheldonandpenny is laughing because come on, she GOT A REACTION. People is paying attention to her. I bet that blog was made more with her in mind than SP shippers in general.

Virginie, you are freaking famous now. Like someone said, you are not a celebrity until you also have haters.

But really guys, you can hate all you want, that won’t stop anyone from thinking you care too much and are just to upset and don’t have a life to do something actually productive instead of destructive, but Tumblr should not be a place for that; nowhere really, but this site was supposed to be impervious to mean-spirited people.

For the people that created the blog or actually fill the blog with their hateful comments:

You are pathetic. Wasting time hating something… Dear Lord, the inherent stupidity in that is… I can’t even O.o

5x24 Finale TBBT. Shenny…

Because this blog I made is almost purely Shenny thoughts, I’m going to write the three SP related things that came to mind when watching the last episode for season five of The Big Bang Theory:

1. How obviously great they look standing one beside the other. It’s not so much about the implication of them together or anything like that, it’s as simple as the plain, “nothing-is-going-on” Sheldon and Penny just standing there. Nothing more. It’s quite curious how big and grand they both look in comparison to their respective boyfriend/girlfriend. Look, in terms of visuals I don’t see the endearing/hot/lovely/cute/awesome side of LP. Especially with Leonard acting like he did. I swear, there are some flashes of that Leonard the writers wanted people to love, but in this episode, I didn’t see any of that Leonard nor do I see that Leonard much. That just DOESN’T help me reflect their characters/premises into their physiques.

Regarding SA. I would be lying if I said I didn’t find them interesting. I would go as far as say the geekiness they reek would just be a pleasantly contrasting side of the strange hotness I find in both of them together or standing just by themselves. Amy has been a great character, even if I found something very much “the-old-Amy” in this episode. I don’t apologise for stating this nor I feel I’m betraying SP fans because I know we SP fans are not that kind of fandom.

For all this “visuals” and “projections”, it has always been Sheldon and Penny that caught my attention.

2. I don’t know what’s wrong with the writers or simply what’s wrong with me, but why does Sheldon have to insist on the whole proposal thing with LP? My SP mind just told me he didn’t like that for some reason, but I’ve been considering I’m just trying to grab at straws here. Why does he have to be him though? Why couldn’t it be Amy after hearing it from Penny? Why couldn’t the writers just avoid that because it’s obviously not helping the LP?

The whole dialogue regarding the proposal just confused me because I did not see it as a way to make the viewers see the LP in an endearing light. Anyone in their right mind would know it was really NOT the time to ask, and then followed by Leonard’s obvious behaviour towards that… LP/SA/SP fans are always trying to look deeper into the characters, but casual viewers will just see his attitude as pathetic and Penny’s as annoyed or uninterested.

3. Confusing also that Sheldon seems to be pretty fine stating how happy he is by himself, and not only does he state it as clear as the day, but the emphasises it and uses it as speech for the wedding (he might not care much for them, but he still took the time to write it and he deemed it as deep and beautiful enough to say people would cry when hearing it), completely or conveniently forgetting he is actually not by himself, but has a relationship agreement with a dynamite girl right beside him. And then, at the end of the episode, he takes Amy’s hand and we see her hunched shoulders straightening up and her face shine (ugh, she makes me hurt so much).

What. The. Hell. Writers….

Contradicting.

Did they think that if Sheldon was more receptive to Amy’s involvement in his life when saying the speech and then the hand holding people were going to think it was too much too soon? Many people think that already, so it’s not like more damage can be done.

I would have preferred him alluding to the pleasantness she provides to his life as a person and a girlfriend in his speech (obviously with him being completely snarky and indirect) than the kind of cheesy ending with them all holding hands…

——

Overall, I didn’t laugh much this episode but it could have gone worse. I didn’t mind the last scene at all even though it buried anything I might have seen about my OTP. The good thing is that I guess. The bad thing is because I think my lack of reaction is connected with my decreasing interest for the show. It’s like I can’t care enough to have a stronger, passionate reaction :/

Ironic that…

SA shippers grab on any moment to emphasise the implication Sheldon training Penny to be a better girlfriend had, but completely fawn over Amy manipulating him in a similar way… or is it forgivable because she is Amy? Or doesn’t matter because she was honest anyway and he knows?

Ironic also that they kept fitting Penny to be some kind of surrogate mother to Sheldon to take out any romantic implication that might have existed , but this episode kind of left it clear that the surrogate mother is actually Amy. With very clear, very obvious dialogue that should take itself as simply as it is, Amy is transferring what Sheldon feels for his mother onto her.

Ironic…

Highly ironic that everything Shenny stood for is now transferred to the Shamy and they still call us delusional. As if we never had any reason to like them in the first place, when the foundation of their ship consists of dynamics that were found before in the SP interactions.

Spoilers for 5x23

Read at your own discretion.

If you are easily offended, don’t read this. If you cannot take it diplomatically, don’t read this; if you are Anti-shenny and can’t deal with it, don’t read this. If you don’t like the truth, don’t read this.

My thoughts on the latest report to TBBT 5x23:

Some quotes:

“My love for the ship (Sheldon and Penny) came from my love of them separately. First and foremost (and as I’m very sure happens with many other SP fans -I wouldn’t really know from others because I don’t frequent their grounds-) by their premises alone. It is who they are by themselves and as people of their own that made me want to ship them. It is who Sheldon was and who Penny was that made me think they would be well suited for each other. It was not the nerd/hot girl thing. It wasn’t even the “opposites attract”. It was as simple as saying I thought they matched. It was the “strength to my weakness” kind of thing. It was not the LP “Its time the hottie suffered” or “Leonard loves her” or “She is looking for a nice guy”.”

“I still can see the potential the SP could have had had the writers given them personalities that strove to be their best, but the writers are simply developing them to fit their respective partners. So if the writers don’t care enough about them to make them justice, why should I? It would only lead me to suffer, and I did that enough.”

” Penny did use to do stuff that made Sheldon happy. Hell, she made it to please him, to make him happy, not to get anything out of him, or lure him into something. I found it rather sneaky from Amy. There is a side of me that rejoices in her also KNOWING Sheldon, but the biggest part despises her for using that power she has to deepen their relationship. Shamy fans are going to find this so endearing they will burst into tears, but I personally found it rather dark and manipulative. It’s rather conflicting, because I thought it really cute, but then I just had to think JUST A LITTLE, and that little bit changed the whole outlook.

Yes, Sheldon, Penny is a bad influence.”
